After a long time, my idea to create a social network of Linux Users groups and Open Source project groups has become a reality. This Social Network has been set up as a space for those interested in Gnu/Linux and OpenSource Project to gather, discuss issues, share plugins and experiences. Everybody is welcome! Sign up to Lugworld.org!

This evening, after a long time, I resume the evening observations with my telescope. I have a Skywatcher Newtonian telescope with a diameter of 130 mm and 900 mm focal length with a focal ratio f/6.9. My attention in these evenings, will be concentrated on Mars, since in this period it is very close to the Earth, about 99 million km.

The English version of this website is now active. I promised myself to write posts and publish both in Italian and English. Obviously, my English is not perfect but I’ll do everything I can to make it understandable to all of you.
I also added comments section to the website, which is although still in beta version (I still have to change something), performs its function well.

Some time ago I decided to participate in the Openstreetmap project which is the first world map entirely created and realized by volunteers. The importance of the project is very high; in fact you can download the maps totally free, without infringing copyrights. Basilicata is one of the regions that is almost entirely absent from OpenStreetMap and that is why, through Baslug (where I am the member of the Council of Directors), I decided to make my hardware resources available, in order to be able to map our region as much as possible.
